Pet Passports

Your pets can easily travel with you on holiday it just takes a little bit of forward planning!

You can take your pet abroad and return to the UK under PETS (Pets Travel Scheme). To qualify for the scheme your pet must be microchipped. They must also have had a rabies vaccination, this can be done anytime after 3 months of age followed by a blood test to test the level of rabies antibodies a month after that. It is six months from the date of blood test before your pet can return to the UK initially. As long as your rabies vaccinations are kept up to date from then on your pet can travel freely.

Your pet can then be issued with an EU Pet Passport signed by an official veterinary surgeon and all that is required is routine tick & tapeworm treatment 24-48 hrs prior to travel. Please ask us for advice well in advance of your travel date and we can organise everything for you.
