All our vets have areas of special interest which are pursued through professional courses and post graduate qualifications.
Bruce joined the team in 2009. He is a Glasgow graduate from 2004 since then he has worked in a large animal practice in Ayr after some time in New Zealand where he gained a lot of dairy experience. His main interests lie in cattle and sheep work. Away from vetting he is a keen rugby player.
Lorna started at the practice in 2010. She is originally from Morley in Yorkshire but moved north to study at Glasgow University. She has an active life away from work, playing rugby for Carlisle and the socialising to go with it! At work she enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine.
Jo followed Iain here in 2007 and has become an integral part of the team. She has a medical background in the family although chose to work with the patients that can not answer back! Her interests lie in the small animal and equine side of the practice.
After Colin qualified from Glasgow he worked at the Willows practice in Cheshire for 3 years doing farm work. He came to us with a lot of large animal experience and has a particular passion for bovine fertility.
Stuart is returning to his local area with 10 years mixed practice experience, with a specialism in small animal orthopaedics. Stuart has many varied interests which include vegetable growing and curling.
He graduated from Glasgow University in June 2011, originally hailing from Northern Ireland. Pete enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine especially small animal medicine. When he's not working Pete enjoys playing rugby and watching 'rom-coms' with his partner.
