Facilities and Services
At Ark Vet Centre, we combine compassionate care with modern veterinary medicine to give your pet the highest standard of treatment. From diagnostic equipment to comfortable hospitalisation facilities, we continually invest in our practice so we can provide optimised care for every patient.
- Preventative Pet Health Plans – Pet Healthcare Plan leaflet
- Diagnostic Imaging – Our practice is equipped with modern ultrasonography, including cardiac (heart) scanning facilities alongside direct digital radiography for high-quality X-ray imaging. These technologies allow us to diagnose many conditions quickly and accurately
- In-House Laboratory Services – Our fully equipped laboratory, supported by a dedicated laboratory technician, allows us to perform a wide range of tests on-site. In-house biochemistry and haematology analysers provide rapid same-day results, helping us to begin treatment as quickly as possible when needed
- Dental Care – Maintaining good dental health is an important part of your pet’s overall wellbeing. Our dedicated dental suite includes digital dental radiography, allowing us to thoroughly assess your pet’s teeth and gums and identify problems that may not be visible during a routine examination
- Surgical Facilities and Patient Monitoring – We have dedicated operating theatres equipped for both soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery. Our modern anaesthesia and patient monitoring equipment helps us maintain the highest levels of patient safety throughout all procedures.
- Additional Tools and Specialist Services – We use digital tonometry for the rapid diagnosis and monitoring of serious eye conditions such as glaucoma and uveitis. Cryotherapy and electrocautery are also available and used under specific conditions. We also offer acupuncture clinics with our vet Kay, who is a qualified veterinary acupuncturist. Acupuncture can help support pets living with chronic pain, mobility issues and certain medical conditions, allowing us to provide a more holistic and individual approach to ongoing care
- Nurse-Led Clinics – Our qualified Registered Veterinary Nurses run a variety of clinics designed to support your pet’s long-term health and well-being, including obesity management, blood pressure monitoring and socialisation clinics
- Comfortable Hospitalisation Facilities – To help minimise stress during your pet’s stay with us, we provide separate accommodation for feline and canine patients, including outdoor exercise runs for dogs. We also maintain dedicated isolation kennels, allowing us to safely care for infectious patients whilst protecting other animals within the practice
- Home Visits – For clients who may find travelling difficult, we offer home visit appointments for routine care on dedicated days throughout the week. We also provide home visits during working hours, Monday to Friday, for at-home euthanasia, helping to ensure a calm and compassionate experience for both you and your pet. Please note that we are unable to offer home visits for unwell or emergency cases as pets requiring medical assessment or treatment are best cared for at the practice, where we have access to our full range of diagnostic equipment, facilities and treatment options
